Are you a student interested in Facebook accountability? The Real Facebook Oversight Board (RFOB) is hiring interns for Spring 2023! RFOB is a group of prominent global experts, journalists, and academics, some of whom are the company's fiercest critics, looking to hold Facebook to account (NBC). The brains trust members include Shoshana Zuboff of Harvard University, Roger McNamee at the Center for Human Technology, Safiya Noble of UCLA, Maria Ressa of Rappler, our co-founder Carole Cadwalladr of The Guardian, and many others.

We are looking for interns with an interest and skills in:

  • Social media management (Twitter, TikTok, and Youtube)
  • Graphic design skills (Photoshop)
  • Research
  • Journalistic Writing

Tasks include working on and writing campaign materials and reports, producing and editing TikToks, crafting tweets, researching Facebook and the Oversight Board, and producing graphic and video content.

This position is remote. Our team is based around the world and we meet virtually. You will work a maximum of 10–15 hours per week unless discussed otherwise. Hourly rates are $15(USD) per hour. There may be weeks where you work less than others. You must be an undergraduate who has completed at least one year of university. Students can be based anywhere in the world.
